Delete my data
Last updated: 17 August 2026
You wrote to us on WhatsApp or Messenger, filled in a form, or talked to our assistant, and you want us to erase what we know about you. This page explains how to ask, what we erase, and how long it takes. The request is free and needs no justification.
1. How to make the request
Write to us, by any of these means, asking for your data to be deleted:
- info@uicf.edu.ci — subject: “deletion”
- Phone
- +225 01 01 14 14 05
- WhatsApp or Messenger
- write your request in the conversation you already have with us: it reaches the admissions team, who handle it like any other. Our assistant may reply before an adviser reads it — your request is recorded all the same.
Include the phone number you used to contact us: it is what identifies your record. If you wrote to us on Messenger without leaving a number, give your Facebook account name and roughly when you wrote.
There is no form to fill in and no account to create. We will not ask you for identity documents for a request made from the number or address we already know.
2. What gets erased
Your whole record disappears from our systems:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- every exchange you had with our assistant and with our advisers, on every channel;
- the programme you were interested in, your level of study, and the details from your form;
- the priority score automatically computed on your record, and the notes taken by the adviser following up with you;
- your parent's or guardian's contact details, if you are a minor and they were given to us.
Deletion is permanent: we keep no backup copy of your record once it is done.
3. How long it takes
We delete within thirty days of your request, and we confirm to you once it is done. A member of the team handles each request: it is not automatic, which is why it is not instant.
We stop calling and writing to you as soon as the request reaches us, without waiting for the end of that period.
4. What deletion cannot reach
We can only erase what is ours. Three things are beyond us, and it is more honest to say so:
- Your messages inside WhatsApp or Messenger
- they stay in the app, on your phone and on Meta's servers, governed by Meta's own terms. You can delete the conversation from the app, and block our number.
- What already went to a provider
- an SMS handed to our sending operator, or a form collected by Google, follows those companies' retention policies. They are listed in §7 of our privacy policy.
- What the law requires us to keep
- if you enrolled and your record became a student file, some documents are kept for as long as regulations require. We tell you precisely which ones, should that apply.
5. If you want less than deletion
Erasing your record is not always what you actually want. You can also ask us, without losing your application:
- to stop calling, texting or messaging you, while keeping your record open;
- to correct something inaccurate — a mistyped number, a misspelled first name;
- to send you a copy of everything we hold about you.
These requests use the same means, the same address, and the same time frame.
6. If you are not satisfied
Ivorian law no. 2013-450 of 19 June 2013 on personal data protection gives you this right to erasure. If our answer does not satisfy you, or if we do not answer, you may refer the matter to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI), the supervisory authority for data protection.
