Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These terms cover our admissions site, our assistant on WhatsApp, Messenger and the web, and our application forms. By using them, you accept what follows. The service is free and commits you to nothing.
1. Who offers this service, and what it is for
The service is offered by Université Internationale Clairefontaine (UICF), a higher education institution based in Abidjan. It exists to tell you about our programmes, answer your questions, and collect your application if you wish to make one.
It is free. Using it does not oblige you to apply or to enrol, and costs you nothing.
2. Our assistant is automated — what that means
The answers you receive on WhatsApp, Messenger or in our website chat are written by a program, not by a person. It draws on our documents, but it can be wrong, incomplete, or misunderstand your question.
As a result, and this is the important point of these terms:
- only the university's official documents and information confirmed by an adviser are authoritative — especially on fees, dates and admission requirements;
- an answer from the assistant is neither a promise of admission nor a commitment on a price or a place;
- if in doubt, or if something contradicts, ask an adviser to confirm before deciding anything.
Writing to the assistant or filling in a form is not an enrolment. Admission follows a separate procedure, which an adviser explains to you.
3. Who may use the service
Anyone interested in our programmes. If you are under 18, use the service with the agreement of a parent or guardian: our forms then ask for their contact details, and it is them we address on enrolment matters.
Do not use the service on someone else's behalf without their agreement, and do not give us a third party's number instead of your own: they are the ones who would receive our calls and messages.
4. What we expect from you
- give accurate information — a wrong number mostly means we will not be able to call you back;
- do not impersonate another person, nor a member of our team;
- do not send illegal, abusive or harmful content;
- do not attempt to disrupt the service, to query it automatically at scale, or to reach data that is not yours.
We may stop responding to plainly abusive use. That does not remove your rights over your data (see §7).
5. Messages, calls and costs
If you write to us or leave your number, an adviser may call or message you about your application. You can ask us to stop at any time without losing your record: just say so in the conversation, write to info@uicf.edu.ci, or call +225 01 01 14 14 05.
WhatsApp and Messenger exchanges go through Meta's services and your mobile operator, under their own terms and rates, which remain your responsibility. We charge nothing on our side.
6. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep the service available, without guaranteeing it at all times: it may be interrupted for maintenance, by a failure, or because a third-party service it depends on is down. If the assistant does not answer, our advisers remain reachable by phone.
We may change or discontinue all or part of the service, and these terms. The date at the top of the page indicates the version in force.
7. Your personal data
What we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it is set out in our privacy policy. You can ask for your record to be deleted at any time: the steps are on the “Delete my data” page. Both are linked at the bottom of this page.
8. Site content
The texts, images, logos and documents we publish belong to the university. You may read, print and share them to inform yourself or someone close to you; reusing them commercially requires our written agreement.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Ivorian law. If something goes wrong, write to us first: most situations are settled by a conversation.
